hello,

I have a D-link DU-560M USB HCF modem that ive been trying to configure on
linux but to no success. Ive tried Lucent's HCF modem driver and the ltmdm
module, but still nothing, the modem's lights doesnt even turn on even
when connected to the USB hub. I looked at the hw listing and it seems
that linux can detect it, but cant use it. It seems that since its
winmodem, the software in windows that controls it also controls the
on/off status of the modem, now the linux module/driver should be able to
turn on/off the modem too. Any advice on this? Im using Redhat 9.
