Those of us who love programming are baffled how people who _should_ love programming treat it as a chore to be avoided. It's doubly frustrating for you as a teacher.


However, we each have our passions. Not all programmers love programming. Some choose computer science (or programming as a career) for reasons other than the love of programming. As I've gotten older I've grown more tolerant of these passion-challenged people :)
