Hi all,
Updates on the installation... Salamat sa mga
tumulong.. It only actually needed the kernel source
rpm. After I downloaded it (as suggested). It worked.
Guide for installing Nvidia driver for Mandrake 9.2
1) Downloaded from nvidia driver section for linux
2) Updated copy by issuing
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run --update
(it downloaded from ftp nvidia server)
3) Edited inittab to change the default to single user
mode
4) Reboot
5) Logged in as root and run
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run
6) Made changes in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file
7) Changed back the inittab to default to init level 5
8) Reboot
