Ive been trying to get NFS to work on our network here. The results have
been wierd. Sometimes I ma able to mount a shared (or exported) directory,
sometimes I can't. The wierd thing is that it happens to the same machine
with no changes whatsoever.

This morning I set up /etc/exports as instructed, ran portmap, nfs,
nfslock, opened the proper ports in my firewall, and the remote machine
was able to mount the volume without any trouble at all. I could create
files on the remote volume, etc.

A few minutes later, I unmounted the volume. When I tired to mount it
again immediately afterwards, I got the reply:

mount: RPC: Remote System Error - Connection Refused

I can't figure this out. It was working fine a minute before, and then it
won't work at all.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. God bless!
