hello gurus.. one company that i know is planning to migrate all their windows xp desktop to linux desktop due to high costs of licensing.. the existing system are mixed of windows xp as a desktop and authenticating to a windows 2000 server.. it also connects to a novell server used as a remote repository of files.. the novell and windows 2000 server would still be kept only desktop pcs would be migrated to linux... i need a suggestion on what flavor of linux is best for desktop pc.. redhat,fedora,debian,mandrake.. what programs/software would i use for the linux based desktop pc to still access the drive from the windows 2000 and novell server?

any ideas or suggestions are welcome..

thanks,
allan
