to further expound on my idea.. a blog is ONE person's view of anything. 
so if you happen to have the same interests as that person, that's really 
great. BUT... you basically *trust* that person.

whereas, by being in a community of like-minded people, you don't have to 
trust any *one* person. plus, communities are much easier to find than 
blogs.
