yeah, that's a good point, but i never particularly thought of it that 
way -- it occurred to me that your average techie blogger geek is too 
naive to intentionally deceive other people.

Precisely. but there are lots of blogs like that, unfortunately. it really 
creeps me out when i think of those types of bloggers. well there's also 
the "i'll document all the minutiae of my life" kind of bloggers. hate 
those as well..
