I observed that u only talk of UP and Ateneo. This are
just two of the school we have here. UP and Ateneo may
have started in Linux way back, unfortunately, other
school which constitute a higher piece of the pie
chart uses Windows/Novel and etc. And, as far as I
know, computer corriculum in other school (mapua, la
salle, adamson, ama, etc.,) doesn't have or worse,
mention Linux in their class. Not to mention's a lot
of them have contracts to teach M$.

They just realize that they need to learn Linux once
they apply or get hired. This is true to some of the
students we have encountered.

So, I believe that private sector is more into linux
than the academe if we look at the greater proportions
