That's not true by the way.  The examples only seem to deal with
two-node clusters, but with some clever configuration it is possible,
with the judicious use of broadcast/multicast heartbeats.  There is also
SGI's Linux Failsafe (http://oss.sgi.com/projects/failsafe/).  I hear it
is as of this writing the most complete Free Linux high availability
system available.
