I really don't know what's happening with SpecOps. I am not sure if IBM is indeed interested - maybe IBM open source guy here in the Philippines, Dominique Cimafranca, can enlighten us.
The prese release mentioned Caslon Chua, Ph.D., of DLSU - is this true? if so, is he aware of Wine and WineX projects? Also mentioned was Peter Valdez. I did not know that he has a PhD. He's a UP grad and took his MS in the US but not sure if he's got a PhD, though. SpecOps has been recruiting people from UP Diliman -- the two Open Source guys (Arnold Putong and myself) are not convinced that SpecOps has a future with the likes of TransGaming's WineX, Codeweaver and the purely open WineHQ churning version after version of their products with huge improvements! Anyway, let's wait for them to release their product.
