Even programming-wise they're also the same. Or at least API-wise. The
POSIX standard is the intersection between the old SVR4 and BSD APIs.

So far, most Unix (used in the generic sense) I've handled - multiple
flavors of Linux and BSDs, Solaris <-- lots of shortcut scripts much
like what RedHat does!, AIX <--- can't forget smit/"smith" or the
registry-like system it employs, even decrepit versions of Digital
Tru64, Unixware and an old copy of UNIX SVR4 I "dug" in QC City Hall :D
- contain more similarities than differences in the feel and API.

There's not much difference to talk about if you'd stick to the
intersection of all Unix variances with regards to administering it. Now
if you'd overly and overtly concentrate on the differences and be
dependent on it, there you'd have a problem.
