ok, i fixed it the stupid way.  i edited the file in /var/spool/mail removing
the bad emails manually.  after looking at them, they're spam.  so it's
just some spammer.  but it also works as a kind of DoS because when
i fetchmail, processing one such email takes a long time, it never
gets delivered, and the next time fetchmail runs, it tries to load that
same email again, taking just as long as the first time :).
