I tried blocking it via Squid's ACL. Kaya lang the request still persists. Stop lang after I restart Squid.
How can I prevent this? iptables? edit registry? anybody got the same problem?
Brilliant. Utterly brilliant.
If you don't allow Windows Update to run, you're going to have problems
on your hands that'll make an overwhelmed Squid server seem like a
dream....
well in some scenarios it is not advisable to let windows update run freely. in our company only approved patches/fixes are installed because not every patch that microsoft releases is *guaranteed* to work.
ciao!
