Take a look at www.debian.org--I read there's a lot of security updates on the cvs package. Also take a look at the debian mailing lists (debian-user, debian-devel, debian-security) and search for cvs. I myself have cvs installed, but I haven't really played with it, so I leave it be for the time being (most of the time I use the client to update my wine-cvs sources...;) Also a good place to get info on cvs is debianhelp.org and debianplanet.org... there's also google...
