it is a little bit confusing... google has a groups-beta.google.com (ala
yahoo groups) and a groups.google.com (usenet archives). what will they
call the beta when it comes out of the development/testing stage?

It would be great if http://groups-beta.google.com could serve as an
archiver - so you can browse PLUG threads ala-GMail :) However it
seems that it's meant for discussion groups ala Yahoo! Groups.
