I haven't tried IBM's JFS yet. I'm using ReiserFS for all the partitions I created for all the Linux boxes I setup except that my /boot partition is always an ext3fs. ReiserFS is also actively supported by Mandrake Linux distribution and is best for small files especially when dealing Maildir mail formats.
