sir marlon,

count me in as one of those *interested* people. i also know a bunch of people
in the academe who likewise are. i was an editor of a college paper here, so
maybe i can help with the documentation.

we can start off by scheduling a meeting here. (fiesta is this saturday so
maybe there's a party venue somewhere). nothing formal, just a
getting-to-know-you type of meeting with other interested geeks in the city.
then we'll know how it goes from there.

we can send the invites via PLUG (i hope the other members don't mind, but
then it's linux advocacy anyway).

i'm sure sir tiger, our former boss, would also welcome the idea (though he's
based in manila now). which gets me to another point, is the location really
relevant or would it be ok to have members with origins in cdo but are
working in tech jobs perhaps in cebu or manila?
