Well, while I believe that Linux can be harder to use than Windows on a lot of areas, I think the problem has more to do with people getting used to the way they do things with Windows and other Microsoft apps and them resisting changes. Get somebody who only learned Windows all his life and he will have a hard time getting learning any other OS, whether it be Linux or a OSX because he's expecting the same key strokes or menu lay-out or icons, or even worse, he can't do anything because he can't find the start menu. However, if you teach someone who doesn't know anything about computers, you will see the learning curve for any modern OS like Windows, OSX or Linux + KDE/Gnome, would be very much similar. -- Gideon N.
