actually sir, that's what i really wnt to do since it's very easy to do
it using PHP-freetds.
But for reasons pertinent to our org (the developer involved uses ASP), it's
gonna be quite difficult telling that to them.
Are there really no other options? ^_^

ASP won't run on Apache unless you use something like Chilisoft[1] to
mediate for your scripts. IMHO, this is a very inefficient thing to do. I
suggest you convert ASP to PHP. Check out http://asp2php.naken.cc/
