you do mean ubuntu/debian's synaptic+apt-get vs. fedora/redhat's up2date+yum, right? you can actually use synaptic and apt on fedora. It's just matter of doing a: yum install apt synaptic (note: you must have followed the instructions at http://fedoranews.org/contributors/stanton_finley/fc3_note/ or at http://www.fedorafaq.org on how to set up your repositories and import the GPG keys) if you are comparing yum vs. apt though, i would have to agree with you on that. i've also used apt and urpmi and yum's just too quirky for me sometimes (not too mention slow). -- Stand before it and there is no beginning.
