I believe my firewall script has enabled the ip forward, since the
workstations connected are able to connect to the internet.

is that correct?  I do not yet trust my knowledge on subnetting and
routing...


ADDITIONAL INFO that may or may not be relevant:

I am using shorewall to manage iptabes.  I have masqueraded the two
subnets.

The policy I have allow all packets from the subnet1 to subnet2 and vice
versa.
