I'm puzzled. /var/log/messages shows:

Mar 4 12:31:06 salmo kernel: [190439.582430] sd 9:0:0:0: [sdb] 31240704
512-byte logical blocks: (16.0 GB/14.9 GiB)
Mar 4 12:31:06 salmo kernel: [190439.583125] sd 9:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect
is off
Mar 4 12:31:06 salmo kernel: [190439.615316] sdb: sdb1
Mar 4 12:31:06 salmo kernel: [190439.623254] sd 9:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI
removable disk
Mar 4 12:31:36 salmo kernel: [190469.325995] usb 1-6: USB disconnect, device
number 7

but mount shows:

/dev/sdb1 on /mnt/thumb type vfat (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)

Don't know what I did to produce this and wonder if I need worry about it.
Or, will it clear itself up the next time I mount a USB flash drive?
