I have long had Chrome installed (Chromium, actually), but I have never
liked it much. However, the above comment got me to take a longer look.
I have spent several hours fiddling with it now, and I have come up
with solutions for several things that made me reject it in the past.
However, there are still things that are missing:

*A button to open a new window
*A separate place in the toolbar to type a search
        *Facebook won't take my login
        *A last-tab-keep-alive extension that works
        *A Zotero extension that works
        *It's ugly, feote, hässlich

And there will probably be more as I keep poking at it. Maybe
eventually I can tolerate it.
