I've been using NetSurf and Otter. Netsurf works great for everything
that does not require JavaScript, and otter for everything else. Netsurf
is written in C and does not fork another web rendering engine but uses
it's own. Otter is a different approach to web browsers. It attempts to
detach the web render from the actual browser UI itself. This makes it
possible to switch to a different engine at the change of a setting. I
personally prefer using Otter with the legacy QTWebKit engine rather
than the newer QTWebEngine as it was forked from Google's chromium and I
do not trust a google project with my personal information even if it
claims to be de-googled.
