So I'm a bit of a bike riding, tree hugging, open source tech hippy with
some basic electronics background and many years of experience as a
network engineer for telcos and larger corps.

I know about Raspberry Pi but I've never done anything with them. I've
worked with a Real Time embedded OS such as WIndriver's VxWorks and did
some paid tech support of a modified OpenWRT OS. I have a Comp Sci
education from the 80s and haven't done any coding in a modern language.

I'm curious if anyone knows if our beloved Linux is being used in a
constructive manner with solar or wind installations, home automation,
green buildings, environmental work, etc.

Cheers,

Mike
