I don't know that I've ever seen a usb-scsi adapter in the flesh. It
does seem from an amazon search that they do exist. You may well be
better off going to free geek's thrift shop and seeing if they have a
pci-scsi adapter you could plug into a not-new desktop box. or just
buying a new scanner. or going to a copy place with scanners.
