I'm working on installing LibreOffice on Slackware. (I know Calligra.
But I need very close to MS Word for work, and I know LO is adequate.)
So I started at the SlackBuilds page and noted the requirement for some
other stuff. I got avahi, after discovering and getting libdaemon
required by avahi. The other requirement for LibreOffice is jdk. That's
where I'm stuck.
I downloaded and extracted
https://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/14.1/development/jdk.tar.gz.
Next I tried to download
https://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/8u66-b17/jdk-8u66-linux-x64.tar.gz
but I get an Oracle error page,
https://download.oracle.com/errors/download-fail-1505220.html.
I tried working my way through the Oracle site to
https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html, but
there is more than one option. Which one of those do I need?
