So do the thing you just said 1) Download the slackbuild build files "jdk.tar.gz" 2) Then instead of clicking the download link like all other packages, click on the project homepage link https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html And download the file from there. You are looking for jdk-8u192-linux-x64.tar.gz Oh the number of times I've been replying to the PLUG list, only to see 5 messages flicker past my email draft.
