   Sure. There's little that will lead the reader astray. Regardless, there
are abundant web sites (one is, I think, unixcraft or nixcraft) that have
expanded man pages with examples. A quick search on DDG for 'linux kill'

That gave me an idea on choosing search terms.
My search terms had been of form
   keyword  tutorials
HOWEVER
   keyword examples
seems to give a more appropriate list.

Using
  dd examples
as search term gives very useful input for both my "imaging a partition" thread and, when following internal link, satisfies my "survey of backup philosophy" query.
