media. All updates for slackware are kept in the "patches" folder, while
the packages from that release are in "slackware64". You can uninstall the
kernel-* packages, install them from the installation media, and then copy

nvidia-kernel package and you are set.

I wondered if I'd be able to get the old kernel from the install USB stick.

Also note that you can run on nouveau with your card. From what I saw
everything worked fine, there was just an issue specific to google earth.
The bug has already been fixed, but nvidia still hasn't rolled that into
their legacy drivers yet.

I'll give that a try. I just need to unblacklist the nouveau driver, and reinstall it?
