This is the kind of subject matter that plug-talk was made for: totally worthy ruminating about issues facing us as human beings that have no direct bearing on Linux or Unix or computing or *gasp* BSD (joke!).
The goal isn't to shunt the discussion to where fewer people will see it, it's to avoid disrespecting people who came to PLUG to talk about Linux or Unix or computing or even BSD.
