The models I posted as an example were listed as having full HPLIP support for that reason. Easy enough to check while shopping when having a copy of: https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/supported_devices/index With scanning, some HP models need a d/l a proprietary blob that does not always work in Linux/CUPS. -Ed
