[PLUG] LibreOffice Writer Cursor Changed -- How do I change it back?

Infrequently, when I'm typing along in LibreOffice Writer (Version 
6.0.7.3, Build ID: 1:6.0.7-Oubuntu0.1.18.04.10) the cursor will change 
from a vertical solid bar to a vertical dotted bar. I have no idea why 
it changed. So far, the only way I've found to change it back is to 
close Writer and reopen it. That is not supposed to be the way to fix 
things in Linux. Does anyone know why this  happens, and how to fix it 
without shutting down LO Writer?
