The .png image does look like what I got. I did not get the other issue mentioned, where the cursor changed to a white circle with a line through it. Also, every Writer feature I use continued to work normally.

Alas, no. I closed Writer when I finished the project I was working on. I just opened a new document, and the cursor looks normal.
