I obviously didn't explain clearly. My other two microphones use USB and
worked with zoom test. The Yamaha is different and didn't work with the
audio in/out on the front panel.

The microphone on these headsets requires a voltage called "phantom power"
to operate, as most microphones these days do.

The motherboard ports on the case rear must be different from those on the
case front. The Yamaha works (without the auxilliary power box) on the rear.
