I do not want to judge - a lots of things work differently than thy used to. Why waste calories on fighting with obscure way of doing things? Just follow the installation guide. https://docs.centos.org/en-US/centos/install-guide/Making_Media_USB_Lin ux/ They also have instructions on creating CD/DVD. They seem pretty detailed. If you do not have USB stick - and need one - send me your address off the list and I will snail mail you one with Prime.
