My Buffalo router, using OpenWRT, shows ENU-1 having IPv4address 192.168.0.155, which is what I expect. Interestingly, I can access the router from ENU-1, as well as ENU-2. And I can access the Internet from ENU-1, which is an improvement from earlier.

And ... we're back.

I'm guessing it was the cable. The old one has a broken clip and was partway out. Once replaced, and once I restarted the machine, things now work as expected, and I can access each machine from the other via Gigolo.

The first rule of troubleshooting, whether it's a computer or some other piece of machinery: Is it plugged in? I learned that before I ever had a computer, but failed to keep it in mind today.
