I have the MediaSonic Probox NAS and the Logitech trackball connected via a USB-3.0 hub. The GUI cursor froze in the middle of the screen (the terminal cursor worked just fine) and was restored only after a reboot.
The MediaSonic was not re-mounted when the desktop booted; moving the cable to a port on the host made no difference. I purchased that enclosure 10 June 2018. The USB port on the back of the unit (square) is blue (USB 3.0), but both ends of the cable are white (USB 1.1). Does the white USB connectors on the cable mean it's using USB-1.1 despite the blue port on the back? Am I correct in assuming that the Probox itself failed while the new WD Red disks are okay. A new Probox support USB-3.0 or 3.1 speeds. I'll order a new one if the old one has failed. Rich
