That's odd. For comparison, this is what lsblk outputs before and after I

Here, with the microSD in a USB adapter, and looking at the disk size I find:
sdg 8:96 1 29.7G 0 disk
└─sdg1 8:97 1 29.7G 0 part
and cfdisk shows:
Disk: /dev/sdg
Size: 29.7 GiB, 31914983424 bytes, 62333952 sectors
Label: dos, identifier: 0x00000000
Device Boot Start End Sectors Size

Free space 2048 8191 6144 3M
/dev/sdg1 8192 62333951 62325760 29.7G
c W95 FAT32 (LBA)
So it is formated fat32 for win95. Do I need to reformat it for vfat?
Thanks, Robert,
