I'm trying to set up a Postfix server on Suse 9.3. However, for some reason smtp is only visible on the local machine. When I run nmap from the Suse 9.3 machine port 25 is listed. However, when I run nmap on another machine, port 25 does NOT show up.
In the postfix configuration file, what do you have listed for interfaces? If you are only listening on the local interface, then outside traffic will not be seen.
