You want to do three things:
1) Start trimming your responses.
2) Stop top posting.
3) Looks like you're using Debian. I'd suggest finding documentation on
the proper "Debian way" to compile a custom kernel. The good news is
that Debian has lots of docs, you'll probably be able to find it.

You could also:
1) Research why top posting and failing to trim are considered bad
netiquette.
2) Research mkinitrd. (But Debian probably has special scripts or
something to help automate the entire compilation and proper integration
of a new kernel, so I'd look there first.)
