You want to do three things: 1) Start trimming your responses. 2) Stop top posting. 3) Looks like you're using Debian. I'd suggest finding documentation on the proper "Debian way" to compile a custom kernel. The good news is that Debian has lots of docs, you'll probably be able to find it. You could also: 1) Research why top posting and failing to trim are considered bad netiquette. 2) Research mkinitrd.
