And thus we see a good example of what's called naive matching.  It hits basic 
cases of emails, but not extended cases.   This topic is specifically dealt 
with as an example in earlier O'Reilly Regex books.  Another example of why 
tools such as Perl's Regexp::Common are handy to people.
