I like the idea of targeting all operating systems. I have two concerns, though. What is the content license of the materials you publish? Who owns the copyright of user-contributed information? One thing I like about the tldp.org (which needs some revitalization) is that although the docs are copyright their authors, they are released under a open-source document license (usually the GNU Free Document License).
