How about increasing the gasoline tax? I bet that will go over like a
lead balloon.

I believe the traditional definition of an antique car is 25 years or
older. Which means the 1985 Isuzu diesel pickup I bought new is now an
antique. An antique which gets better than 30 MPG.

How about taxing consumption instead of savings, profits, or income?
The only things I would make exempt from a consumption tax are
necessities: food, shelter (and I don't mean your second home), and self
defense tools such as handguns and ammunition.

Oh, wait. That's too sensible to propose as legislation.
