> PHP does contribute to poor coding practices... Flamewar! Whee!
PHP doesn't contribute to poor coding practices any more than Perl does. Or Java. Or Ruby, or Python, or C, or Lisp, or COBOL. Inexperienced and inept programmers contribute to poor programming practices. It has nothing to do with the language. As a ten-year veteran PHP programmer, I get tired of people flaming the language as some kind of kids' playbox or security nightmare. Written properly, and secured properly via server settings, it's just as solid as any other language. And yes, I was also a Java and C/C++ programmer for many years, so I've seen more than one language in my time. $0.02, Jeff /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
