Howdy folks, I know it's been a long time since I posted to the list, but I've been super busy trying to finish up this degree. I've bumped into a bit of a hurdle, well two actually and I was hoping someone might have some advice.
As part of my Java programming class, I am supposed to write 2 applications and then present them to a group of at least 2 people. Additionally I need to create and present another presentation that I will get to in a moment. Here's the rub though, the people being presented to need to be tech savvy enough to understand the presented content and grade my understanding of the concepts presented. Normally a person would be expected to do this with their classmates, but this particular course is self paced, and as far as I can tell no one in my class has made it to this point and most won't make it here for awhile. Thats not to say I'm speedy, just that I've been a programmer for years and Java is one of my core competencies already. The first application to be presented is on threading & polymorphism, the second is on overloading vs overriding (all in Java). Finally I have to give a presentation on various design patterns with MVC being one and the other pattern being one of my own choosing. So I'm looking for advice here on how I can go about this. I'm also hoping that I can get at least 2 folks here to attend a presentation and fill out the survey at the end since it's the survey I'm actually being graded on here. (note: the instructions say the instructor may contact you to verify both your attendance and my score). Thoughts?
