So now it's acceptable for the police to fail to do their homework, send a SWAT team (seriously? a SWAT team?) into someone's home for allegedly committing a non-violent crime, verbally and physically assault him in his own home, and when it turns out they made a huge mistake that could have easily been averted if they'd done even the simplest background work they blame the victim by claiming that if he hadn't secured his router this wouldn't have happened. Keep in mind that, being police, doing background work (i.e. developing a case) is their full time job. But I guess if you've got a SWAT team, you've got to use them, right? Gotta keep those boys busy - the city didn't buy those assault rifles and all that body armor for nothing. -Dan /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
