I've started using Namecheap.com and they seem better than GoDaddy. Domains are about $10/year, they include privacy options for free, and I think they also provide free DNS but I didn't bother with that. Their low end SSL certs are the cheapest I've found. There's also Name.com, which I intend to try out when a domain is up for renewal.
