Haven't done anything yet. But with a HAM license I can use more than
the standard 100 mW 2.4 GHz video transmitters. Currently though I'm
thinking about using 2.4 GHz FrSky for command and control (up to a mile
some folks are getting) and then 5.8 GHz video (which can work up to 3/4
of mile for some folks, depending on conditions).

In the 72 MHz world, there are some channels only HAMs can use.

in RC are using power levels far above what is legal without a HAM
license. 500 mW or even a watt is common, but illegal.
