I'm not really a "HAM" as I don't really like to talk to people on the radio, but I do have my technician's license. I got it for emergency purposes mainly. I also got it to use frequencies and power levels in RC airplanes. It's been a while since I took the test, but I'm happy to try to help to answer questions.
I have a radio, but right now I'm not in Provo so I'm not hanging out on the BYU repeater much. I could get on echo link I suppose, as the BYU repeater is accessible on Echo link (which won't work over NAT, so that makes it hard to use).
